1.) Must have Requirements for IVC Website

Your browser should be:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher version)
  • or Netscape Navigator 4.0 (or higher version)
  • Macromedia Flash Player installed
  • a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
    • Right 'click' on your Desktop
    • Select 'Properties'
    • Under 'Settings' set/select the Screen area to '1024 x 768'
  • we recommend that your browser is Java enabled.

2.) I forget my IVC login password

To reset your password, kindly contact/approach your respective Centre Manager or Programme Manager for assistant.

Please provide the following information:

1. Full Name
2. NRIC / Passport No
3. Contact No
4. Registration Centre
5. Student ID
6. Course Registered

3.) I Can't login to Chat Rooms

Your internet browser MUST be Java-enabled/ Javascript-enabled so that you can login into the chatrooms.

4.) How do I enable Cookies on my browser

A cookie is a file created by an Internet site to store information on your computer, such as your name and userid when visiting the site.Once a cookie is saved on your computer, only the Web site that created the cookie can read it.

IVC uses cookie to remember your name and userid to bring you around the site.

For Internet Explorer 6.0

1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab, and then click Advanced.
3. Click Override Automatic Cookie Handling settings.
4. Under first-party Web sites, select Accept.
5. Under third-party Web sites, select Accept.
6. Check on Always Allow Session Cookie.
7. Click Ok to exit Advanced Cookie Setting.
8. Click Ok to exit Internet Options.
9. Close and relaunch browserFor Netscape 4.76
1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
2. Click the Advanced category.
3. Select Accept all cookies.
4. Click Ok to exit Preferences

5.) How do I enable/download Java

Your internet browser MUST be Java-enabled/ Javascript-enabled so that you can login into the chatrooms.

To download "Java", please click on this URL:

Do the following checks. If checks are done and you still fail to login, then you have to reinstall your browser because it has been mis-configured. In most cases, students who have reinstalled their browser, face smooth entry into their classrooms and facilities, without login problem.

For Internet Explorer 6.0
1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options."
2. In the dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab.
3. Check the "Java JIT compiler enabled" checkbox
4. Check the "Java console enabled" checkbox
5. Check the "Java logging enabled" checkbox
6. Click on "OK" to close the dialog box.
7. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options."
8. In the dialog box, click on the "Security" tab.
9. Be sure that your Security level is set to "Medium."
10.Click on "reset".
11.Click on "OK" to close the dialog box. For Netscape Navigator 4.0 (Communicator 4.5):
1. From the "Edit" menu, select "Preferences."
2. In the "Category" list on the left, click on "Advanced."
3. Check the "Enable Java" checkbox
4. Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
5. Check the "Enable Enable JavaScript for Mail and News" checkbox
6. Check the "Enable Java Style Sheet" checkbox
7. Click on "OK" to close the dialog box.

6.) I still see the old websites/cache related questions

Clearing browser cache.

Your internet browser downloads webpages and stores it in the harddisk. Sometimes, when you revisit the same webpage, instead of downloading it again, it displays the old webpage found in the harddisk for fast access.IVC always updates its webpages so it is important to clear cache to download the latest information.

For Internet Explorer 5.x

1. Click "Tools"
2 .Select "Internet Options"
3. Click "General"
4. Select "Temporary Internet Files" and click "Delete Files"
5. Click "OK"
6. Select "Clear History"
7. Click "OK" or "Yes"
8. Close your browser

For Netscape Navigator 4.x
1. Click "Edit"
2. Select "Preferences"
3. Click "Advance"
4. Select "Cache"
5. Click both "Clear Memory Cache" and "Clear Disk Cache"
6. Click "OK"
7. Click "Navigator"
8. Select "Clear History"
9. Click "OK"

7.) How do I access:

  • Result Slip
  • Exam Past Year Paper
  • Exam timetable
  • Entry Card
  • Examination Matters

Logon to Ivc and click on "My Course". Select your desire course and click on "Exam Corner"

8.) Why do IVC keep prompting me to update my profile?

To ensure that we are always updated with our users information. Please ensure that your profile has been updated with the required genuine information.

9.) When do I need to register for an Exam Entry Card?

Exam Entry Card is required for every student who is sitting for his/her exams. All students need to present their Exam Entry card upon entering the examination hall/room on their exmination day.

10.) What is Informatics Entry test?

1.) A candidate can be accepted as a CONFIRMED student for Informatics Diploma Course only if his/her marks satisfy
the following :

Section A (English Language) > 25/50
Section B (Basic Mathematics) > 25/51

*The student MUST pass both Section A and Section B.

2) A candidate who has failed the Entry Test may be accepted as a PROVISIONAL student for the Diploma Course. Such a student must sign the “DISCLAIMER FOR PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE” form. It will therefore follow that the student will be BARRED from taking any Diploma Exam Units until he/she has passed the Entry Test.

Students need to register personally in their respective centres if they want to take the Informatics Entry Test.
Note: Entry Test is done on the spot at the Centre

11.) Billing Issues

Go to http://www.informaticsgroup.com/contactmain.htm select "Service Feedback".
Enter in all the required fields and state clearly your issue and concerns onto the "Please tell us your feedback/query*" field. Lastly, submit the form to us.
